What to check before you order
- Weight. A 4½ in removable lifts out by hand; ännt’s 273 mm crash-rated removable post weighs 92 kg, which is a two-person or a lifting-aid job. Decide who will move it and how often.
- Winter. A sleeve full of ice won’t take the post. Ask for a sleeve cap or a drained sleeve, and keep the key somewhere the plough driver can get it.
- Rating. A removable can be crash-rated (ännt RM150, RM275; Gibraltar G-1631R), but only when its sleeve is installed to the tested foundation.
- Fire routes. If the bollards cross a fire route, the fire department sets the rules for how they open. Ask the local fire prevention office.
