FAQ
Frequently asked questions
How do I get a price?
Every order starts with a written quote: tell us the site and what you need protected, and we reply with products, quantities, delivery and an itemised price in CAD. The site-plan builder at /quote is the quickest way; a message on the contact page works too.
Why don’t you show prices on the site?
Bollard prices depend on diameter, height, finish, mounting, quantity and freight to your site, and freight alone can swing a small order a lot. A written quote for your exact plan is more honest than a price that changes at checkout.
How far apart should bollards be?
Where people walk or roll through, leave at least 36 in (915 mm) clear between bollards; to stop a car, keep the clear gap to about 5 ft (1.5 m) or less. The bollard spacing guide explains where those numbers come from.
What does a crash rating like M30 P1 mean?
Under ASTM F2656 the letter and number name the test vehicle and speed (M30 is a 6,800 kg medium-duty truck at 30 mph, about 48 km/h), and P1 to P4 is how far the vehicle got past the barrier (P1 is 1 m or less). The crash ratings page has the full table and the sources.
Do you install?
Supply only, or supply and install: say which in the quote request and we confirm what we can arrange for your area in the quote.
Can bollards go into asphalt?
Not on their own: asphalt is too flexible to hold a post. A bollard in an asphalt lot gets its own concrete footing, or a surface-mount model is bolted to a concrete pad. The builder suggests the footing when you choose asphalt.
Do you ship everywhere in Canada?
We quote for sites in every province and territory. Delivery cost and timing depend on the order and the site, so they’re itemised in the quote.
I’m a manufacturer or distributor. Can we work together?
Yes. Use the contact page and choose “I’m a manufacturer or distributor”. We’re looking for Canadian supply partners with published spec sheets.
