What else goes into the price

  • Installation: coring or excavation, a footing below frost, concrete, and filling the post (core-drilled). Crash-rated foundations are engineered and cost more.
  • Delivery: a few posts ship by parcel; precast and crash-rated bollards (Reliance’s Halvard M30 weighs 755 lb) need freight and a way to unload.
  • Finish: galvanizing, stainless or a cover adds to the post but saves repainting.
  • Quantity: Reliance publishes breaks at 10 and 50 units; most suppliers quote volume.
