Bollards are usually a line item you have to chase on a paving or site job. Send the plan, get a delivered price and the spec sheets for the submittal.

What you get

  • Quantities from the drawings or your measurements, recomputed in the quote.
  • Spec sheets and install drawings from the manufacturer for the submittal (crash-rated systems come with their foundation drawing).
  • Delivery to site, with what’s needed to unload noted (precast barriers and curbs are heavy).

Installer notes

  • Core at least 2 in over the post and take footings below frost (core-drilled).
  • Pour-in-place posts go on the pour schedule (embedded).
  • A rated bollard is only rated on its tested foundation: build to the drawing.
