# Wheel stops and parking curbs

One wheel stop per stall keeps bumpers off walls, sidewalks and each other. Rubber is light and easy to install; precast concrete is the long-lasting standard.

## Rubber or concrete

- **Rubber:** light enough for one person, doesn’t chip, and pins to concrete or asphalt. Good for parkades and anywhere stops get moved.
- **Precast concrete:** heavy and durable; it needs a truck and a dolly or forklift to place, and pins (or adhesive) to hold it.
- **Air entrainment matters in Canada:** Westcon publishes 6–8% air for freeze–thaw. Ask for it from any precaster.
