# Bollards for Canadian sites, specced and quoted

> Safety Bollards is a Canadian quote-first supplier of bollards and site-safety products (steel, removable, retractable, crash-rated and flexible bollards, covers, wheel stops, speed bumps, jersey barriers, rack protectors). It publishes manufacturers’ specs and crash ratings with sources, installation guides, and a site-plan builder that turns measurements into a quote request.

Measure the storefront, the parking row or the dock. The site-plan builder turns it into a bollard count at the spacing you choose, with the right mounting for the surface, and we send back a written quote in CAD.

## How a quote works

1. **Sketch the site.** Add each run: a storefront, a row of stalls, a lane, a rack aisle. Pick what protects it and how it mounts.
2. **Send it for a quote.** Your plan, your city and when you need it. No account, no payment.
3. **Get a written quote.** Products, quantities, delivery and an itemised price in CAD, with the spec sheets for what we propose.
4. **Delivered to site.** Order when you’re ready. It ships from a Canadian distributor; installation where you asked for it.

## Questions

### How do I get a price?

Every order starts with a written quote: tell us the site and what you need protected, and we reply with products, quantities, delivery and an itemised price in CAD. The site-plan builder at /quote is the quickest way; a message on the contact page works too.

### Why don’t you show prices on the site?

Bollard prices depend on diameter, height, finish, mounting, quantity and freight to your site, and freight alone can swing a small order a lot. A written quote for your exact plan is more honest than a price that changes at checkout.

### How far apart should bollards be?

Where people walk or roll through, leave at least 36 in (915 mm) clear between bollards; to stop a car, keep the clear gap to about 5 ft (1.5 m) or less. The bollard spacing guide explains where those numbers come from.

### What does a crash rating like M30 P1 mean?

Under ASTM F2656 the letter and number name the test vehicle and speed (M30 is a 6,800 kg medium-duty truck at 30 mph, about 48 km/h), and P1 to P4 is how far the vehicle got past the barrier (P1 is 1 m or less). The crash ratings page has the full table and the sources.
