## What else goes into the price

- **Installation:** coring or excavation, a footing below frost, concrete, and filling the post ([core-drilled](https://safetybollards.ca/installation/core-drilled-bollards)). Crash-rated foundations are engineered and cost more.
- **Delivery:** a few posts ship by parcel; precast and crash-rated bollards (Reliance’s Halvard M30 weighs 755 lb) need freight and a way to unload.
- **Finish:** galvanizing, stainless or a cover adds to the post but saves repainting.
- **Quantity:** Reliance publishes breaks at 10 and 50 units; most suppliers quote volume.
